The speculation against Tuchel continues… Bayern Munich release official statement
Bayern Munich has released an official statement.
The Bavarians issued a statement on the club’s official website on Monday (July 29) to address the recent allegations surrounding Thomas Tuchel.
The club wishes to clarify the allegations against Tuchel. In recent days, it has been claimed that Tuchel will move to Barcelona, where his position will become vacant next season. Barcelona officially announced that they will part ways with Xavi next season after the 3–5 loss to Villarreal on April 28.
Munich played hardball. “We will no longer accept false information about our coach from the same media every time,” the club said in a statement.
“Tuchel was asked by fans on Sunday about his managerial career and his previous stints at Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea. He naturally spoke about this. He also answered the fans’ general questions about Spain. Tuchel said, “I never said anything about Xavi and his successor that was later proven to be false.
While Tuchel did answer questions from fans, he did not say he was moving to replace Xavi. Tuchel responded to the fake news by dismissing it.
Tuchel has a long and illustrious coaching career. He began his coaching career at Stuttgart in 2000 and has since worked his way up through the big clubs. He has also managed Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), including Mainz, where Lee Jae-Sung currently plays.
Tuchel came to England after coaching in Germany and France. He took charge of Chelsea in 2021 and created the perfect ‘one-man team’, leading the Blues to the UEFA Champions League title. After being sacked by Chelsea, Tuchel is now in charge of Munich.
The Bavarians are currently second in the league with 47 points, two points behind first-place Leverkusen. The Bavarians return home to host Mönchengladbach on Feb. 3 in the 20th round of the Bundesliga.
