Manchester United (Manchester United) has drawn the knife.
“Owner Jim Ratcliffe, who is leading a major overhaul of the club this summer, is willing to sell almost all of his players,” the Telegraph reported today.
United’s performance this season has been far from satisfactory. After 34 games in the Premier League, they have 16 wins, six draws, and 12 losses, leaving them in sixth place with 54 points.
A major overhaul is likely this summer. Co-owner Jim Ratcliffe, who took over ownership and management of the club, said: “This is just the beginning of our journey to return the club to the top of the world. The work to achieve that goal will accelerate in the coming years.”
Releasing surplus resources has become a challenge for United. Ratcliffe is reportedly keen to reduce the club’s excessive wage bill ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
It’s safe to say that almost every player’s future is uncertain. From Marcus Rashford to Aaron Wan Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Rafael Varane, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Anthony, Donny van der Vaart, Jayden Sancho, Sofiane Amrabat and Anthony Martial are all being linked with a move away.
Not all players have their futures guaranteed. According to the report, Rasmus Hoyle (21), Alejandro 스포츠토토 Garnacho (19) and Kobi Mainu (19) have been labeled as non-transferable this summer.
Hojelin has quickly emerged as one of United’s strikers of the future. He has scored 14 goals this season despite a downturn in the attacking third, suggesting a bright future.
Garnacho is also one of United’s hopes. The former United youth team player has scored nine goals and provided five assists this season and is a favorite of the club and its fans.
Maine is considered to be the future of United’s midfield. The former Manchester United youth product has been a key part of the team’s resurgence in the second half of the season, breaking into the first team alongside more established players.
United’s treatment of the three players has been extraordinary. The Telegraph reports that “United owner Ratcliffe wants to build a young squad. He has decided to prioritize talents like Hoilett, Garnacho and Mainu above all else.”
