Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison received a gift of sweets from a fan in South Korea.

Maddison posted a photo of the snacks on his social media stories on Monday.

“It would be rude not to try a gift from a fan! I’ll have to ask Son Heung-min what he thinks before I try it,” he wrote on his story.

The post was preceded by a video of Maddison signing an autograph for a fan holding his jersey on the training field. In the video, Maddison says “thank you” to the fan, who is overjoyed to see him.

Maddison, who developed into one of the top attacking midfielders in the English Premier League (EPL) at Leicester City, joined Spurs last summer. Spurs capitalized on Leicester’s relegation and spent a relatively reasonable £40 million ($69.9 million) on the player.

Maddison’s performance at the start of last season was spectacular. In the first 10 league games, Maddison scored three goals and provided five assists, leading the Spurs offense alongside Son Heung-min. Thanks to Maddison, Tottenham 메이저사이트 went on a 10-match unbeaten run in the league (8 wins, 2 draws).

Maddison was becoming a pillar of Spurs’ offense when he injured his ankle against Chelsea last November. The injury was more serious than expected, and although he returned three months later, he never quite regained his form. After returning from injury, he managed just one goal and four assists in 17 games. In the 2023/24 season, Maddison’s final tally was four goals and nine assists in 28 games.

Due to a poor second half of the season, Maddison did not make England’s final roster for Euro 2024, but he was able to play in Spurs’ tour of South Korea. He came on as a halftime substitute in the first match of the Coupang Play Series against Team K-League and played 45 minutes. Maddison hit the post with one powerful shot.
