Sessegnon last played for Tottenham Hotspur in the 2019–20 season. Tottenham spotted Sessegnon after his solid performances at Fulham and signed him for a fee of £24.3 million. A bold investment in a young talent. Tottenham had high hopes for Sessegnon.

A left fullback, Sessegnon’s offensive talents also allowed him to play as a wingback and winger. Sessegnon’s pace allows him to be very active on the left flank. He has good communication with his teammates and is good at linking up. In defense, he wasn”t the strongest player, but he was more than adequate.

However, injuries slowed him down. He was sidelined with a hamstring injury before the start of the season, and when he returned, he was sidelined again. In his first season, he managed just one goal and one assist in 12 games. After failing to impress 먹튀사이트 at Spurs, Sessegnon went on loan to Hoffenheim to gain experience. He played a lot of games for Hoffenheim and improved before returning to Tottenham.

In 2021–22, Sessegnon got his chance in the second half of the season, registering two assists in 21 games, and last season he played 23 games, competing with Ivan Perisic for the starting role. But once again, injuries were a problem. A hamstring injury kept him out of the preseason ahead of this season. Coach Enze Postecoglou turned to Destiny Udogie, and as Udogie flourished, Sessegnon was gradually forgotten.

Sessegnon returned to action in the FA Cup round of 64 against Burnley. Sessegnon was substituted in the 38th minute of the second half. With Udogie, Ben Davies, and Emmerson Royale all available at left fullback, Sessegnon’s return would have added variety. However, another injury forced him to leave. Eventually, Spurs decided to let Sessegnon leave as a free agent.

After leaving Spurs, Sessegnon wanted to stay in the Premier League (PL). According to European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, Sessegnon had interest from all over Europe, including teams in England, but preferred to stay in the PL. Crystal Palace made a move for Sessegnon, and if the deal goes through, he will face Tottenham as opponents next season.
